Resize Image Locally in Your Browser

The resize operation uses the browser Canvas API, so the source files do not need to be sent to AIEnhance.io or a third-party model. There is no API bill behind the button, which is why the tool is free, uses no credits and requires no account.

Resize by Pixels or Percentage

Different jobs describe image size in different ways. A marketplace may ask for an image no wider than 1600 pixels, while a designer may simply need every asset to be 50% smaller. The tool supports both workflows:

  • By pixels: enter a target width and height. With aspect ratio enabled, these values form a maximum bounding box for every image in the batch.
  • By percentage: reduce the original width and height by 25%, 50% or 75%. This keeps the proportions automatically.

The projected dimensions appear on each image card before processing, so you can check the output size instead of guessing.

Maintain the Original Aspect Ratio

Aspect ratio is the relationship between an image’s width and height. A 1200 Γ— 800 photo has a 3:2 ratio. If it is forced into 1000 Γ— 1000 without preserving that ratio, faces, products and circles become visibly stretched.

Keep Maintain aspect ratio enabled for normal resizing. The tool fits each image inside the width and height you enter while preserving its shape. Turn it off only when you intentionally need an exact width and height and accept that the image may be distorted. The Do not enlarge if smaller option also prevents small source files from being scaled beyond their original dimensions.

Batch Resize Images With One Setting

When a product catalogue, article or social campaign contains many images, resizing them one at a time is the slow part. Add up to 20 files, choose one set of rules and process the whole group. Portrait and landscape images can share the same bounding box while each keeps its own proportions.

Every result keeps the original still-image format: JPG remains JPG, transparent PNG remains PNG, and WebP remains WebP. You can review the final pixel dimensions and file weight, then download files individually or use Download all.

Image Dimensions and File Size Are Different

Resizing changes the number of pixels. File size in KB or MB also depends on the format, compression, image detail and export quality, so two 1200 Γ— 1200 images can have very different file weights. Reducing dimensions usually makes a file lighter, but it does not guarantee an exact KB target.

Use this page when a website, marketplace or design brief specifies width and height. If a form says the file must be exactly 500 KB or below 2 MB, use the KB to MB Converter instead. Keeping those two jobs separate makes the output predictable.
